Good saga but you're gonna have to wait... March 31, 2004 27 out of 31 found this review helpful
Okay, this is an awesome saga but there's a couple problems. 1.)This saga's so long. It has 9 DVDs 2.)This only comes with 2/9 of the DVDs 3.)The other DVDs come out at different times-like a month apart for each 4.)It's gonna be almost half a year before the rest of the DVDs come out.So, you might want to just get this on VHS. Unless you hate VHS and you can wait that long for them to come out, you should go for the tapes. Although there are some problems, this is still a really interesting saga. I own the first 3 DVDs from this saga and I liked them a lot. This starter set comes with the first two volumes only-the rest you have to wait till they come out then buy them. The first DVD is "Ultimatum" where everyone learns about the tournament and starts preparing. The second one is "A Moments Peace" where a lot of stuff happens with Gohan and Goku as they somehow are training by doing nothing. Gohan meets this girl and they show a lot of past events.
Spend the Extra Cash February 28, 2005 Noseless Wonder (DENVER, CO USA) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
Do NOT buy this saga on VHS, it's a waste of money. Get it on DVD. It is the one saga that will definately pay off if you wait patiently and shell out a few extra dollars. The Japanese version is not only better acted, though that is a well argued fact, it also has the original inserted Kageyama Hironobu song "Spirit Versus Spirit". This is probably going to be the last DBZ item I will purchase. I haven't bought anything DBZ in a long time, but for the end of the Cell Games, I will give up the dough and swallow my pride. If there's one saga or season of Dragon Ball to own, it is definately this one.

The Cell Games November 20, 2005 Ronnie Clay (Winnsboro, Louisiana) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Trunks tells the story of the other's that Cell has created his own tournament where they will be fighting. Goku fought Cell but he wasn't strong enough instead it was Gohan who was strong enough. By unleashing his true power cell created little cell kids they kept own beating up his friends then Gohan got mad especially when android 16 got killed.
