The first feature based on the popular adventure-comedy Naruto, Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow takes knuckle-headed ninja-in-training Naruto Uzumaki to an unexpected place: a film set. With Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi-sensei, he must protect Yukie Fujikaze, the temperamental star of a series of period melodramas. Yukie is rude to her fans (including Naruto), throws tantrums, gets drunk, and mistreats her co-workers. But she doesn't seem to be in any danger until the director decides to shoot her new film in the Land of Snow. In the frozen north, the ninja bodyguards discover Yukie is really Koyuki Kazehana, the long-lost princess of an icebound realm that's been usurped by her evil uncle Doto. Naruto and his friends use exotic jutsu (and plain brute strength) to defeat Doto's minions. The Naruto TV series takes place in a timeless Neverland, and the regular characters feel out of place in a modern setting, making jokes about movie-making. But the film plays like an extended episode of the show, with Naruto's boy-scout-from-the-wrong-side-of-the-tracks determination and perseverance winning the day--as his fans expect. (Unrated, suitable for ages 12 and older: violence, alcohol use) --Charles Solomon

Great Movie, kick yourself if you didn't see it in theaters. June 7, 2007 K. Bodnar (United States) 13 out of 17 found this review helpful
Naruto: Clash in the Land of Snow is the first of the Naruto movies to make it stateside, and it was well worth it. For various reasons, it was only showed once in select theaters. I was lucky enough to get tickets to go, and let say that it was just amazing. Everyone was cheering for everything through out the movie. Sasuke fangirls cried. Rock Lee fans cheered (although he didn't make it into the movie). The plot involves Naruto and crew protecting a movie star while she films a movie. I won't go into it any more than that because the story is a big part of the movie. The music is mostly remakes of songs from the TV series. The art work is improved over the series by a bit, but it shouldn't bother any one. Preorder your copy of Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow today.
Naruto fans will love it! Thats why I love it! September 6, 2007 THE MAIN MAN (Central Bookin', NY) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Even though it felt like a very long episode of Naruto. Due to the fact that it contained every single element from the series to include the soundtrack. It was still entertaining. But the truth is, I just can't get enough this series. Also the end theme is very good. The animation seemed a little bit better than the TV series. The plot was cool and there was a decent cast of ninja villians. It has its slow moments and they're pretty short. But its the battles. They really did put some effort into the fights. I mean they always do. But this time even Sakura seemed a bit more like a threat. The enemies were no Haku, but they did display some pretty cool ninja arts. I also loved the gatling shuriken gun. That scene was pretty sick. Still a very good movie and Naruto fans will mostly likely eat it up. If your new to Naruto, then you really should check out at least 2 of the uncut volumes before this.
Great movie - Believe it! August 11, 2007 Reenie (Middle Georgia United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I saw the movie in the theater and had a great time. An entire theater filled with Naruto fans! If you love Naruto, you'll love the movie. It's like a regular Naruto episode, only longer. It was kind of strange seeing Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura watching a movie in a theater as they do in one of the beginning scenes. Do they have a theater in the Hidden Leaf Village? Well, at least they weren't watching from the seats like everyone else. There is action, intrigue and lots of laughs. And more of our favorite sensei - Kakashi!!!! (Can you tell he's my favorite character?) Naruto gets a chance to try out his new (that is, new to American fans who watch the episodes in English on TV) jutsu - Rasengan! The movie in the theater included interviews with all the voice actors (both Japanese and English) and it was very interesting. I hope this will be on the video but don't know - Shonen Jump never gave me a call about it. Buy this movie with confidence - it's great! Believe it!
Fantastic movie continuation of the series September 7, 2007 C. D. Hamm (Wichita, KS) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just finished watching this movie having bought it yesterday and I cannot say how amazed I was. I've read other reviews and I agree that it does seem a bit more of an extended episode rather than a stand alone movie of the franchise, but I think it is that exact fact that makes this movie a must see for die hard fans. Naruto, Saske, Sakura - all the ninja carry over from the series exactly as one would expect them to. The music is directly as it would be if one was watching an episode, but this actually helps as it allows the familiar viewer to know what is about to happen - the old naruto theme song lets you know that naruto is about to do exactly what he does best - pull out one of his surprise attacks, completley unexpected, utterly triumphing over those who would oppress and control. This movie is fantastic. Amazing! Incredible! I cannot say how much I loved it. The humor was right on and original. This is a must see for any die-hard naruto fan and even those new to the series.
