Amazon must have made a mistake... October 10, 2001 Mr. P. Reuben (Leeds, United Kingdom) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
...because this tape is actually rated PG-13, as with all of the uncut Sailor Moon tapes and DVDs. And don't let the other reviewer fool you - Sailor Moon is NOT violent, in any of its forms. In terms of dialogue (minor swearing, themes of homosexuality) and violence (characters slap each other, and sometimes get thrown into walls, etc.) the uncut subtitled version is slightly more edgy than the edited version shown TV, but no one who actually watched it would possibly say it should be rated NC-17.While I've given this tape 5 stars because it's amazing in it's own right, the DVDs are even better (they don't cost much more, but have 4 times as much content), and those are what I recommend buying.
The Search for the Savior August 12, 2001 Alex Chang (...) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Rated NC-17 (for ages 18 and up) The Search for the Saivior is the 3 episodes after They escape from Eudials place and Mimet steps in. I guess you all are wondering why this is rated NC-17. It may just be a mixup but some is 17 up. I personally think they exadurated on the rating but... Episode 1: The 1st one is when Mimet tries to go with that celebrety that's shooting the movie. She makes cakes and stuff for him and these snobby wemon smash her pastries and the actor still likes them. Rini makes a new friend Hotaru. and Sailor Moon transforms to Super Sailor Moon. Episodes 2-3: Is really about Mimets obsession with celebs. As I said. Uncut Sailor Moon S (Subbed not Dubbed) is very violent. Mostly all are NC-17 so don't be surprised.
"Search for the Savior" is good! October 20, 2001 Shi-chan (USA) In volume 8, Search for the Savior, we meet Chibi Usa's new friend, Tomoe Hotaru. Chibi Usa likes her friend, although Hotaru is frail. Hotaru is happy to have a friend at last! We also meet the new villain, Mimete. Mimete sometimes slacks off to read manga! She gets dreamy over guys. All of her targets are cute guys who're popular in the world. Sailor Pluto has joined the Outer Senshi with her attack: "Dead Scream". It's sugoi! ^________^ I liked this movie! ~Usagi-Bunny
