Product Description The Native American Stallion is out for revenge on the cowboy who ruined his life, but he has competition from Josey, another one of cowboy Bill's victims. Enemies at first, they unite to fight against their common adversary. They find they share a bond due to the horrible thing Bill did to both of them. Stallion and Josey are both damaged, both suffering. They find comfort in each other, and hopefully, satisfaction against their enemy Bill. If a main story by KOSEN wasn't already enough, readers also will enjoy a yaoi vampire tale by the talented duo. Sagan's father was killed by a vampire whose love was not reciprocated. Now the vampire sees Sagan as a new way for his love to be requited, but Sagan just wants him dead.

Very Good Westernized Yaoi October 5, 2006 Jem (MD, USA) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
Kosen is a Spanish studio, so this isn't Japanese Yaoi Manga, and it isn't laid out in the traditional right-to-left, Japanese format (disappointing). Still, I found it very good. The two main characters are both victims of rape by the same villain--and they both want revenge. Will they let revenge overcome their growing feelings for one another? This did have explicit sex (though no genitalia) including rape, but there was also a plot. Worth buying, even though it isn't up to the standards of Japanese yaoi like Embracing Love, Fake, or Kizuna.
Stallion - Ride 'Em, Cowboy! November 16, 2006 May Angelou 16 out of 18 found this review helpful
I wasn't going to buy this book at first. The age of the Wild West isn't a source of interest for me unless it's played for humor (see "Blazing Saddles"). But when I got a chance to read it, I was gripped from the very beginning by this story. The story hits the ground and takes off running, perhaps the only proper beginning for an action-oriented story. It starts off at a wicked pace, with two men galloping like mad through the desert. The attack by the native Stallion is sudden and quickly sets up the tension-laden relationship between him and Josey Blackwell. The moment when both men are naked and tied above a horse is a scene rife with sexual tension as well as obvious humor. It has the air of an old-fashioned serial cliffhanger such as what used to be shown on old TV Westerns. It's clear whoever did this story did their homework, both in the authentic feel for the "old" West as well as the heady flavor of an old-fashioned Western in the traditional conventions. I loved the illustrations, too, making all the men seem compelling in different ways. The explanations after the story were a welcome addition although they weren't necessary. I'm not sure where I come down about "Eien." The illustrated male characters had a kind of bland sameness about them without much to distinguish them in appearance except for clothing. The vampire was also a little too effeminate in looks for me to find him pleasing or convincing. However, the ending held a kind of tragic grandeur to it making you wonder just how long the chase would take and how it would resolve itself. Given that the dagger can do such lasting damage, the older vampire was probably going to have an impressive scar. "Cancellation of Darkness" was an interesting tale of innocence, possession and loss. However, I didn't care for the illustrations much. The eyes of the characters were unnerving with a dark ring around blank spaces and little dots inside making them look beady like the eyes of animals. I liked this volume overall although the titular story remains my favorite.
Fantastic! September 7, 2006 C. Anderson (Roy, UT) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Absolutely fantastic! This is the first Yaoi manga that I have ever purchased, and I wasn't disappointed in the least. In my opinion, the main characters in this short are quite frankly, beautiful. While I only decided to buy this book for the first story, the following two shorts, including the third chapter of "The Guardian" were all quite enjoyable. Although a bit confusing because I have neither bought, nor read any of Kosen's "Saihoshi: The Guardian." I am definitely going to buy it in the future. Get this book, you won't regret it.
Stallion is right up my alley! At least, I'd like him to be... June 9, 2007 C. R. Swanson (Phoenix) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Well, there's a lot I could say about this book. It's entertaing as all get out, very well drawn, enjoyable, etc, etc. But it really comes down to just one thing. I really, really, really wanna shag Stallion. Ah, I do so love the Japanese "boy" look. And, boy, does Stallion ever live up to that. Pretty, sexy, vaguely femine. Yeah. *drool* Even if you don't have any interest in shagging said hero (and why wouldn't you?), this is still worth reading. The story is, as I said, entertaining, the dialogue is sharp, etc, etc, praise be unto Kosen, etc. I still wanna shag Stallion. ^_^
Not as good as it could have been March 25, 2007 Erika A. Benavides (Stockton, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this book on a whim thinking the story would be a nice change from all of those other yaoi novels with the same plot over and over. I guess it was good enough, enough to keep me from regretting ever buying it but it felt rushed. This book had such an original idea and if it had been developed a little better it could have been one of the greatest yaoi novels out there. But sad to say it isn't and I would only recommend to buy it when you have absolutely nothing better to buy, its a nice story with two side stories and a preview that will keep you entertained for at least a bit.
